Blake Rowley & Jeff Mickelsen present to the Benton-Franklin Rental Owners Association in Richland, WA, explaining what tax plans and strategies are available to real estate owners, and how real property can fit into their estate plans to minimize tax liabilities.
January 8, 2024
The IRS announced it will begin accepting and processing individual tax returns on January 29. The IRS will also open its business e-file window on January 16. The partnership/S-corp 2023 tax return filing deadline is March 15. The individual 2023 tax return filing deadline is April 15.
January 1, 2024
Beneficial Ownership Information (BOI) reporting is now open. Per the Corporate Transparency Act, many companies are required to report basic information to FinCEN about the individual(s) who own them. Existing companies have until December 31, 2024 to file while those formed after 2023 must report within 90 days of company formation. For more info, click here.

Brent Mickelsen retired from Blodgett, Mickelsen & Adamson after over 3 decades of professional service. Brent was a founding partner of the firm, and leaves a thriving audit practice he built from the ground up. Those of us who remain feel extremely grateful for all his industry and hard work over the years. While he is sorely missed, we congratulate Brent and wife, Julie, for their well-deserved retirement.

Tom Blodgett retired from Blodgett, Mickelsen & Adamson after over 3 decades of professional service. Tom was a founding partner of the firm, and leaves an expanding tax practice he has grown since the firm's inception. All of us left and his many clients are incredibly thankful for his good work and humor over the years. While he is truly missed, we congratulate Tom and wife, Sherrie, for their well-deserved retirement.
